Ode to Joy

Currently sold out on Threadless, this shirt is a pretty cool design. Lately I'm  not the biggest fan of all over print tees, only because I feel there is a bad connotation that comes with them. When you see all-over print tees, you tend to think TapOut, UFC, Ed Hardy, etc. But we always make exceptions for astronauts. It's a pretty bad ass picture. An astronaut fighting off some deepspace creature atop his vessel. It's an homage to the stories of explorers of old, sailing the high seas and battling krakens and sea serpents. I wonder if the same mythology regarding monsters will develop when we truly begin exploring the cosmos.

Daily Commute

Currently this shirt is sold out, but it's an awesome shirt. I like that it's an astronaut on his way to work. Sort of hearkens back to the 70's era Sci-fi novels where everyone thought people would commute to work by rocket train from earth to a space station.

Music Connects Us Through Space

This one is a little pricey now, but I was able to grab it a few years ago as an Insanatee daily t-shirt sale. It's awesome. It's astronauts rocking out in space. Kind of reminds me of Marcoss Plus in a completely unrelated way.

The Politburo Explains

Ok, so this shirt fits one of the looser definitions of an astronaut shirt. There IS an astronaut in the background, but he or she is very tiny and blends into the background. I just like that it looks like the cover of an old sci-fi movie or novel. Still a cool shirt, but very pricey at $20. My rule is $10 and under, unless it's a fantastic shirt like the HOMAGE one. Threadless usually has $10 sales though, so wait for that. But jump on it, because their good stuff goes quick.

Homage "For all Mankind"

This shirt is pretty much one of the most amazing Astronaut shirts you can get, made for the 40th anniversary of one of the greatest events in all of humankind. This shirt is legitimately, objectively, awesome.

The Madness of Mission 6

This is the last of the Threadless posts for today. I do so love this shirt, but it is currently sold out. I can see it being reprinted very soon. I like that it's a retelling of Pacman. Pacman is an astronaut that has to take pills to get over what happened to his teammates on Mission 6. The ghosts of his comrades chase him, until he takes the right pill and can control his demons by, well, eating them. You know, that old chestnut.

Class of 2054

I actually hadn't seen this one before. It's a play on the the photo of the Mercury astronaut crew.
It's a pretty cool shirt. It's a little dark, and with all that purple not sure how it'll look after a few washes. I do remember seeing a lighter color shirt that played off the Mercury crew photo before. Hopefully I run into it again soon. This shirt is also $10 on Threadless.com right now.

Funkalicious

One of the greatest Astronaut shirts of all time. Right now it's on sale for $10 at Threadless. I've had this bad boy for years. Won't buy a new one till it's falling off my body.
